We have offered each candidate in our region - in both South Northamptonshire District Council and Northampton Borough Council - the chance to write 150-200 words saying why they should be elected.
Next up is Northampton Borough Council candidate for East Hunsbury, Brandon Eldred.
Name: Brandon Eldred
Party: Conservatives
Ward: East Hunsbury
Brandon Eldred is married with two children and was born and brought up in Northampton and has lived in East Hunsbury for over seven years.
He is a former Northampton Borough and County Councillor and currently a parish councillor on Wootton and East Hunsbury Parish Council. Brandon is also the chairman of Walk in the Park and Chairman of Friends of Hunsbury Library.
His hobbies include watching Northampton Town Football Club and playing golf.
If elected as your councillor for East Hunsbury, Brandon will continue to campaign against the development of housing on Collingtree Park and the proposal to sell the Wootton Hall park land. He will work hard with the police to make East Hunsbury a safe place to live and look at ways at how we can reduce the anti-social behaviour within the ward.
Brandon will work closely with the towns major sports teams and other local groups to see how we can offer more for our youngsters to keep them off the streets.
Brandon will continue to work with and support those running the urban farm project, and he will also support our major sports teams with regard to expansions to their grounds as our sports teams really do put Northampton on the map.
