There are no Labour candidates standing in the four wards that will effect The Hunsbury Herald region of South Northants District Council.
And the lack of candidates standing throughout the district council area means that an incredible 10 out of the 27 wards up for election will be uncontested - including Blisworth & Roade.
That means Conservatives Steve Clark and Sally Townsend will remain as councillors for the area without even having to fight an election. And the lack of candidates also means that in Grange Park, Harpole & Grange and Heyford & Bugbrooke just three candidates will fight for two spots.
Conservative Paul Farrow, standing again, must be a favourite to retain his seat in Grange Park, while co-Tory Mark Davidson must also be odds on in the contest against James Fearnley.
Another Conservative Tharik Jainu-Deen has stood down.
In Harpole & Grange, at least one of current councillors Ann Addison and Janet Eliot will be re-elected. They face Liberal Democrat Shaun Hope in the ward.
At least there will be some excitement in Heyford & Bugbrooke as current incumbents Independent John Curtis and Tory Graham Smith will both be stepping down.
That leaves a three way fight between Phil Bignell of the Conservative party, Independent David Harries and the Green Party's Shaun Walton.
