The MotoRescue scheme was launched at yesterday's British Motocross Championship fourth round event at the Milton Malsor based race track.
The new breakdown and recovery service caters for motorcycle enthusiasts where missing a race is not an option. In the event that their vehicle breaks down en route to a race MotoRescue will get the vehicle and passengers to the event and home again.
The scheme was developed by Autohome Assistance, a motor club that celebrated 40 years of service this year, in conjunction with the ACU.
It is available for cars, vans, 7.5 ton vehicles and trailers, and for every membership MotoRescue makes a donation to the ACU Benevolent Fund.
Autohome Assistance general manager Darren Mason said: "We are very excited about the future of our MotoRescue Service.
"We have a good number of existing motorcycle competitors on cover with us. From this and with our association with the ACU we were able to specifically develop a scheme giving priority to avoiding the disappointment of missing a race.
"We feel that the MotoRescue scheme of getting the member to an event and home again is the perfect solution."
