Abbeyfield School pupil to star in West Side Story

Abbeyfield School sixth-former Gary Amos is set to star in one of the biggest musicals of all time.

The A level student will perform as Riff, the leader of the Jets, in Milton Keynes Theatre's production of West Side Story.
As well as attending the Mere Way based school, Gary is a member of Northampton Amateur Operatic Company and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
The show is set to hit Milton Keynes on August 4, 5, 6 and will see he Gary leading three main choral dance numbers and soloing with Jet Song and Cool.
He landed the role after two days of auditioning and said: "I got through to the final two males for the lead of Tony and was pretty chuffed to have got so far against so many others.
"It's going to be my biggest challenge yet."
