They've been campaigning for weeks, knocking on doors and trudging the streets.
But the day of judgement has finally arrived with votes being counted and verified, and results set to come in today.
Those for South Northamptonshire District Council will be announced this morning, while Northampton Borough Council results will be coming in from 6pm.
