World champions coming to Northamptonshire

Recently crowned one day world champions India are set to play at Northamptonshire's County Ground in August.
The ICC Cricket World Cup winners, who defeated Sri Lanka in a thrilling final last month, will play Northamptonshire in a two day match as part of their summer tour of England.
The Indians, whose stars include Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni and possibly the finest batsman of all time Sachin Tendulkar, visit Northamptonshire on Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6. Tickets are already on sale for the clash, with full match tickets available for a special offer £25 for adults and £8 for juniors.
Northants Cricket chief executive Mark Tagg said, “One of my favourite days at the County Ground was the visit of Sachin Tendulkar, the Indian team and especially the Indian supporters in 2007.
"The ground was alive with colour and enjoyment with a full house enthralled by seeing the heroes of Indian Cricket.
"If this year’s visit is just half as good as last time, then those who attend will never forget their day with the world champions.”
