HUNSBURY/COLLINGTREE: School children enjoy police HQ visit

Young detectives from three local schools visited the police helicopter as part of a visit to the force's Wootton Headquarters.
The children from Collingtree Primary School in Lodge Avenue, Collingtree, Simon de Senlis Primary School in Hilldrop Road, East Hunsbury and Abbey Primary School in Winchester Road, Delapre had been named as winners of Northamptonshire Police's Young Detectives Scheme.
Their prize was a trip to police HQ, organised by police community support officers Wendy Simson and Craig Edgell.
The children, all aged 9-11, were set a range of missions, including a poster competition, during their day out at Wootton Hall.
As well as viewiing the helicopyter, which is shared with Leicestershire and Warwickshire forces, the youngsters enjoyed  a trip to the Force Control Room where they watched staff handling emergency 999 calls.
