It will be called 'The Drovers Return' after the ancient drovers track which runs through Hunsbury Hill Country Park - and a cheeky aside to famous Coronation Street pub, The Rovers Return.
But unlike its soap land namesake the cafe will not be selling beer and spirits; instead cups of tea and cake will be the order of the day for the building which cafe proprietor Colin Ingle is currently converting from a disused toilet facility. Mr Ingle is hoping it will be open to the public by the end of May.
The Hunsbury Herald took a look behind the scenes at the under construction 'Drovers Return.'
The cafe's toilet will include facilities for disabled customers. |
The seating area of the cafe will provide tables and chairs for between 15 and 20 people. |
What Mr Ingle has decided to offer the local community looks brilliant, just what the area needed. I for one can't wait to see what the final product has to offer, and hopefully this will be a place I can go and visit regularly during my evenings and weekends whilst walking the dogs.
