HUNSBURY: Welcome to the Drovers Return

The under construction Hunsbury Hill Cafe has a name.
It will be called 'The Drovers Return' after the ancient drovers track which runs through Hunsbury Hill Country Park - and a cheeky aside to famous Coronation Street pub, The Rovers Return.
But unlike its soap land namesake the cafe will not be selling beer and spirits; instead cups of tea and cake will be the order of the day for the building which cafe proprietor Colin Ingle is currently converting from a disused toilet facility. Mr Ingle is hoping it will be open to the public by the end of May.
The Hunsbury Herald took a look behind the scenes at the under construction 'Drovers Return.'

The cafe's toilet will include facilities
for disabled customers.
The seating area of the cafe will provide tables and chairs
for between 15 and 20 people.
The cafe looks much bigger on the inside than from outside.
This area will eventually hold the kitchen.

The Tardis like look of the cafe is shown again in
this picture.

Owner Colin Ingle hard at work in the cafe.
He hopes the building will be finished by
the end of May.

  1. What Mr Ingle has decided to offer the local community looks brilliant, just what the area needed. I for one can't wait to see what the final product has to offer, and hopefully this will be a place I can go and visit regularly during my evenings and weekends whilst walking the dogs.
