Time to get back into jolly hockey sticks?

Vaguely remember something about high-sticking or a bullet pass?
If so perhaps it's time to get back into playing hockey or netball.
A new borough council scheme is aiming to help anyone over 16-years-old do just that. The project is the idea of Northampton Borough Council's sport and development team. It is working alongside Northampton Saints Hockey Club, Foilit Netball Club and the Northamptonshire Sport programme.
The Saints Hockey Club is holding an eight-week programme at Moulton Sports Complex. Sessions started last Tuesday (March 8) and run between 8pm and 9pm.
The Complex will also host an eight-week netball course with the Foilit Club, set to start on Wednesday, March 16. Again, sessions run between 8-9pm.
The two groups cater for all abilities and fitness levels, and the sessions are run by qualified coaches.
To book a place people should contact the council's sports and play development team on 01604 837704 or by email on stevejohnson@northampton.gov.uk
Northamptonshire Sport will also be running an eight-week 'Get back into Netball' programme at Thomas Beckett School, starting on Tuesday, March 15 with sessions running between 7pm and 8pm.
For more details on this course contact netball development officer Sam Meade on 07545924954 or email samantha.meade@englandnetball.co.uk
