Northamptonshire Police's Towcester Safer Community Team (SCT) recently released an update of its activities in December.
Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) took part in a trial series of Street Briefings.
A number of streets were selected in each village and the houses on these streets had a letter delivered to them the night before the event, giving details of the time and location of the Street Briefing.
An hour before the street briefing, PCs and PCSOs knocked on the doors of houses surrounding the location where the event will be held, and invited anyone who is in at the time to come along.
The purpose was to tell the public about crime figures and the work police have been doing in their area, as well as to consult with residents to find out their concerns and priorities for where they live.
In Bugbrooke, PCSO Harrison carried out patrols aimed at disrupting and deterring anti-social behaviour at identified areas throughout the beat.
He also delivered a programme of talks at primary and secondary schools, helping children to understand the role of the police, as well as personal safety.
PC Horner spent time visiting victims of crime in the area and offering crime prevention advice to help avert any future offences.
Both PC Horner and PCSO Harrison followed up on dwelling burglaries in the area and have been visiting people who have been victim anti-social behaviour.
In Blisworth, PC Scott and PCSO Cooksammy carried out patrols in areas which experience raised levels of anti-social behaviour.
The pair also visited burglary victims and their neighbours to offer crime prevention advice. PCSO Cooksammy delivered school talks across the area.
In Grange Park, PC Reid and PCSO Johnson patrolled anti-social behaviour hotspot locations across the area, as well as visiting victims of crime.
The officers also hosted a number of surgeries outside Budgens, engaging with the public and updating them on crime information in the area.
