WOOTTON: Police release timeline of murders

Northants Police incident room staff have continued to respond to sightings of the Wootton quadruple murder suspect, Anxiang Du, across the country over the weekend. But the 52-year-old businessman from Coventry, suspected of the murder of Jeff Ding, Helen Chui, Xing Ding and Alice Ding on April 29, remains at large.
The four family members were found stabbed to death in their home in Pioneer Close, Wootton. A team of detectives is currently carrying out the task of trawling through hours of CCTV footage seized when officers went to London last week following the discovery of the missing Vauxhall Corsa which was found in North-West London.
Murder team officers have spoken to a number of national experts on matters ranging from searching to forensics.
Detective Superintendent Glyn Timmins who is leading the investigation, said: "Anxiang Du seems to have ‘gone to ground’ but someone must know where he is.
"I am asking members of the public to cast their minds back to the day of the Royal wedding and think about what they were doing on the day.
"I’m hoping the following timeline will help jog people’s memories."
The timeline below shows the movements Mr Du is believed to have taken on Friday, April 29.

• Mr Du is believed to have left his home in Coventry on Friday morning, leaving Coventry Station at approximately 10.30am.
• A CCTV image shows Mr Du entering Birmingham New Street Station at 11.22am.
• He arrived at Northampton train station at 12.35pm. At 1pm he is believed to have been at Northampton Town Centre Bus Station, where he waited in Bay 19, eventually getting on the Number 15 bus to Wootton.
• Mr Du queried his stop at 1.20pm but remained on the bus. At 1.23pm he asked the driver for directions.
• The Ding family was murdered between 3-4pm.
• Mr Du is believed to have been in the Northampton area until at least 10.15pm, and is thought to have been at the services at J15a of the M1 between 9.45pm and 10.15pm on that Friday evening.
• Detectives believe Mr Du could then have driven to London.
• The vehicle Mr Du is thought to have taken from the Ding’s driveway was found in Venables Street, Westminster, on Wednesday 11 May.

DS Timmins added: "We urgently need to speak to anybody who thinks they may have seen Mr Du.
"My team is ready to respond to information from the public if they see Mr Du, and I ask that people remain vigilant and if they are suspicious to contact the police immediately."
Anyone with information should call police on 03000 111 222.
