Such is the geography of this part of the county that sections of it are served by Northampton Borough Council and South Northants District Council, as well as a myriad of smaller parish councils.
Of course, the area is also under the control of Northamptonshire County Council, but that body is not due to contest elections this year. The deadline for nominations for borough, district and parish candidates ended on Tuesday, April 5; ahead of this year's elections on May 5.
