ELECTION SPOTLIGHT: Paul Farrow

In the weeks and days leading up to the May 5 election The Hunsbury Herald will be focusing on the candidates hoping to serve their respective councils in our area. We have offered each candidate in our region - in both South Northamptonshire District Council and Northampton Borough Council - the chance to write 150-200 words saying why they should be elected.
Next up is South Northants District Council candidate for Grange Park, Paul Farrow.

Name: Paul Farrow
Party: Conservatives
Ward: Grange Park

As an enthusiastic resident of Grange Park for over seven years I relish the opportunity to continue to represent our community on the district council. Since becoming a councillor two years ago I have had the opportunity to learn the workings of South Northants.
I currently sit on four committees that have given me a greater chance to represent and promote our interests.
As my wife works locally and our daughter attends Caroline Chisholm School, I believe I am well placed to understand the needs and concerns of our residents both young and old.
Working with our MP, county councillor and of course the parish council, I know that we still have a lot to achieve. Our roads will finally be adopted soon and we have a fantastic new facility at the Pavillion on Foxfield but there are still some serious issues to resolve.
Mindless vandalism still blights our parks and one of my aims is to work closely with the younger residents to find a way to give them more interesting options to occupy their free time.
I also want to work with our local business community to see how they can help enhance Grange Park and in return how we can support them.
If given the opportunity I look forward to serving Grange Park once again.
