ELECTION SPOTLIGHT: Mark Davidson

In the weeks and days leading up to the May 5 election The Hunsbury Herald will be focusing on the candidates hoping to serve their respective councils in our area.
We have offered each candidate in our region - in both South Northamptonshire District Council and Northampton Borough Council - the chance to write 150-200 words saying why they should be elected.
Next up is South Northants District Council candidate for Grange Park, Mark Davidson.

Name: Mark Davidson
Party: Conservatives
Ward: Grange Park

I have been a resident of Grange Park for nearly eight years.
I feel very  passionate  about  where I  live  and  bring  up my family; therefore I was extremely excited about being given the opportunity to represent our community on the district council.
Both my wife and I work locally and we have a 20 month old daughter, whose future has inspired me to take on this role.
I am keen to ensure that our children have a great place to grow up, as well as safe areas for our younger children to play. Our older children are also thought of and have areas where they can also enjoy.
I truly believe in trying to ensure that all of our children have the right to attend their local school if that is the parent’s choice. I am also against further development around our area when our current infrastructure is at capacity.
It’s great that our roads are finally going to be adopted and I am keen to ensure that road safety is paramount.
I hope that you will give me the opportunity to serve you and Grange Park at South Northamptonshire District Council.
