Woman assaulted in handbag snatch

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in which a woman was assaulted before having her handbag stolen.
Two men approached the 56-year-old victim at around 8.20am last Monday (February 21), before carrying out the assault, taking her bag and escaping in a black Mini.
The attack took place in Haines Road, Northampton and the men made off along London Road and onto Rothersthorpe Road. Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
