Parking and anti-social behaviour continue to top police priority list in Hunsbury and Wootton

Northamptonshire Police's South West team has published its latest list of priorities.
Parking, anti-social behaviour and litter - all long term problems in the area - remain top of the list in East Hunsbury.
Nuisance parking around Hunsbury Park Primary School and anti-social behaviour are the main target areas in West Hunsbury, while in the Nene Valley area officers will be addressing yet more parking issues - this time in the regions primary schools - and fly-tipping in Wootton Fields. In East Hunsbury the parking focus will be on the ongoing 'School A Week' scheme which sees parents given advice on how to park properly when dropping off and picking up their children.
The same scheme will be taking placing in Nene Valley and West Hunsbury, where efforts will be concentrated on congestion around Hunsbury Park Primary School in Camp Hill and St Lukes Primary School in St Crispins.
Nuisance behaviour around Butts Road and Tesco Mereway is another focus point in the East Hunsbury area.
Officers are working with youth workers regarding anti-social behaviour in those places.
Tesco Mereway is also the focus of an ongoing litter reduction campaign, with a Community Payback scheme - where offenders are put to work in retribution for crimes committed - in operation. The litter picking scheme started in May and will continue for several weeks.
In Nene Valley, there is a major focus on fly-tipping along the lane from Wootton Fields to Great Houghton. Northampton Borough Council officers is also monitoring the situation and anyone caught dumping rubbish illegally will be prosecuted.
A reduction of youth nuisance in Upton is the final priority in West Hunsbury, where partnership co-ordinator Pete Staffell has met with the area's new youth club to offer it advice and support.
