Northampton Borough Council is hosting an ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood’ workshop on Wednesday, March 23 to encourage groups to get involved in the competition.
The event will be run by the East Midlands in Bloom Committee and the borough council is hoping it can inspire people across the county to emulate last year's gold in the contest. Councillor Trini Crake, borough bouncil portfolio holder with responsibility for the environment, said: "We only have to think back to the enthusiasm that the Bloom competition generated last summer to see the impact is far greater and more lasting than simply seeing your local area blossom."
The meeting is open to representatives from Friends groups, community groups and residents’ groups across the borough.
The 'It’s Your Neighbourhood meeting' is taking place in the Courtroom at the Guildhall between 3pm and 5pm on March 23.
