A man who pleaded guilty to six money laundering charges has been sentenced to an 18-month community order, according to a report in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
Monhammed Ali, 19, of Icknield Drive, West Hunsbury allowed his bank account to be used in a major banking fraud.
A total of £600 was paid into his account so it could be used as a conduit for £2,500 stolen from other accounts and then converted into foreign currency.
Judge Ian Alexander called Ali 'small fry' in a large operation.
