Celtic legends come to Northampton

Popular Celtic band The Tannahill Weavers are set to appear at The Old White Hart Inn next month.
One of Scotland's premier traditional bands, the group will play at the pub in Cotton End as part of the Great kNight Folk Club.
Famed for fire-driven instrumentals and original ballads, The Tannahill Weavers' performance is one of the most eagerly participated at the club, which hosts shows at The Old White Hart on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Named after Robert Tannahill, a poet and weaver from Paisley near Glasgow who lived from 1774-1810, the group is known as the Tannies to fans and performances feature highland bagepipe, flute and fiddle.
With more than 30 years experience, The Tannahill Weavers have a universal  - and wordlwide - appeal to young and old.
The event takes place on Tuesday, April 5, with unreserved seating costing £9 on the door. Doors open at 8pm.
The Great kNight Folk Club will return to The Old White Hart on Tuesday, April 19 with a double bill from acoustic folk/blues singer Kevin O'Regan and Ragged Staff, a band which mixes the traditional folk music from Ireland, Scotland and England with contemporary music.
Tickets cost £7.
