Man punched in head in racist attack

A man was punched in the head during a racially-aggravated attack in Bugbrooke last Thursday (January 13).
The incident took place in John's Road between 6pm and 7pm after the Asian man had got off a bus.
Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault in which the victim sustained severe bruising to his left eye.
The victim fell to the floor after being hit and, on getting to his feet, was then punched again by the offender. This time he fell into the road, in front of a passing motorist.
The offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 9ins tall and of large build. He is thought to have been wearing a large coat.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the vehicle who will have witnessed the assault. He was driving a blue vehicle which was travelling along John's Road.
