Capel to open Bugbrooke MUGA

A sports area which includes an all-weather football, cricket and basketball pitch and a youth shelter is due to opened by one of the county's biggest stars.
Northamptonshire Cricket Club coach David Capel will open the new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) at Bugbrooke Playing Fields on Friday (October 15).
The former Northants and England batsman will be at the opening ceremony from 4pm.
The MUGA was funded with grants from South Northamptonshire Council, The Big Lottery and Northamptonshire Community Foundation under the control of Bugbrooke Parish Council and Bugbrooke Sports and Community Association.
The all-weather surface contains goals, wickets and basketball hoops, while it is hoped the shelter will provide a place for teenagers to meet and socialise.
South Northants Council's cabinet member for community welbeing Rosie Herring said: "The MUGA is an extremely popular facility which offers the community free access to a range of sporting activities.
"We are delighted to have been able to play a part in its provision and are confident it will lead to an increase in sports uptake as there is rarely a time when the facilities are not being used."
Following the opening ceremony, refreshments of tea and cakes will be available in Bugbrooke Community Centre.
