ROTHERSTHORPE: Human remains found in field

Human remains have been found in a field near Rothersthorpe.
The grisly discovery was made by a woman who was out walking yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday).
Police forensic teams are currently searching the field to the south-east of Rothersthorpe and the road between the village and Milton Malsor has been closed while further investigation takes place.
Northamptonshire Police Inspector Carl Sturman confirmed human remains had been found. He said: "It’s too early to say yet how the individual died or how they got there. And we don’t yet know their identity.
“We are investigating both identity and cause of death.”
The gender and age of the body remain unconfirmed.
