The work of photographer Walter Alexander is set to be celebrated in a exhibition.
The four-day Black and White Photographic Exhibition will take place between April 15 and 19 at Blisworth Baptist Church in Chapel Lane.
Starting on Friday, April 15 with an invitation only preview event between 7pm and 9pm, the show is a tribute to fine art photographer Mr Alexander, who spent his entire life in Blisworth between 1886 and 1976.
His daughter Audrey Evans said: "Born in the picturesque village of Blisworth in 1886, my father grew up passionate about his photography.
"His first camera was homemade from a cardboard box three inches square with a pinhole in it.
"He graduated in stages to his ultimate aim, a 'half-plate' Thornton Pickard Imperial camera which went on many miles with him on his push bike."
Between 12-4pm on the Saturday there will be a Young Persons Photographic Competition, which will raise funds for 1st Blisworth Scouts and its new community hall project.
Sponsored by Skears Photographic in Northampton and supported by Blisworth Art Club, the contest will be based on the name Walter Alexander using the letters W and A as subjects.
There are three age categories in the competition: up to 10 years, up to 14 years and up to 18 years. Entrants are limited to five photographs each and the maximum size of pictures is A3.
Entry costs just £1 per picture or £4 for five photos, with a deadline date of Friday, April 15.
The contest will be judged by fine art photographer Kate Parker at 3pm on the Saturday.
The exhibition is open only to Chapel members on Sunday, April 17, but re-opens to the general public on the Monday and is followed by a photographic club event between 7-9pm featuring guest speaker Pete Norton.
The event culminates on Tuesday, April 19 with a community coffee house morning between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
