The Northamptonshire branch of the Auto-Cycle Unit is set to hold it's annual Wild & Woolly Scramble on Boxing Day.
The event will take place at Arm Farm in Blisworth on the A43 between Blisworth and Milton Malsor.
It will be the 85th time what is the longest running scramble in the world has taken place.
Conditions are traditionally horrendous in the race that still takes the same format as when it first took place in 1932. Fifty riders will compete in the hour long race, which will see them cross at least four streams. Competitors will even be forced to wear home made snorkels and breathing apparatus to cross the deepest sections of water.
Ten time winner Ryan Grifiths will again be among the favourites,along with Richard Main and James Berrill.
Practice will start at 10am with the race beginning at 11am.
Spectators are advised to park responsibly and not on the road.
All proceeds go to charity.
