Poor parking to be tackled at Simon de Senlis

Northamptonshire Police Safer Community Officers in Hunsbury have carried out a visual audit of vehicles to consider the problem of illegal and inconsiderate parking outside Simon de Senlis school.
It follows complaints from residents in Hilldrop Road, who are concerned with the dangers presented by cars parked outside the school at drop-off and collection times.
PCSO Craig Edgell, pictured, carried out the audit with the Highways Agency, who have agreed to carry out work to improve safety for children arriving at and leaving the school premises.
The work being planned is scheduled for next April and will include the installation of railings outside of the school and near to the zebra crossing and the addition of wooden stumps on a grassed area opposite the school which is currently being used as a parking area by parents.
