Get to grits with the name game

With arctic conditions expected at any moment the council is offering residents the chance to name ten of it's gritters.

Today (Thursday) is the last chance for people to enter a competition to name the snow and ice conquering machines.

The deadline for the Northamptonshire County Council contest is tomorrow, with the names of the winning enteries set to be displayed on the side of the gritting lorries.
Winners will also be photographed next to the vehicles and receive a certificate.
