An oil painting featuring 'idylllic English countryside' has gone on sale on an antiques website.
The picture, entitled 'Milton Malsor', depicts two grey shire horses pulling a plough, with the ploughman working behind to ensure the furrows are straight.
The landscape shown is from the Northamptonshire town.
It features on antiques website, http://www.sellingantiques.co.uk/, and is being sold by Hereford based Abbey Antiques.
The sales description says: 'These beautiful horses wear traditional harness decorated with horses brases, their grace and power captured beautifully.
'A post and rail fence divides the fieldes with old trees standing isolated in the landscape above which a stormy clouded sky looms.'
The picture dates from the 1930's and 1940's, and is signed by F.C. Snapes.
It is described as being in good condition and is priced £425.
