The Writing Futures scheme will use each library as a creative hub, connecting writers in situ and via the web in order to create literature.
It will showcase the potential of the modern library to lead thinking on how creative people can make the best use of the web. The project has been developed in collaboration with acclaimed author of The Poet’s Wife Judith Allnatt and Northamptonshire writer Ben Elijah.
It is due to launch on World Book Night tomorrow (March 5) with the plan of bringing together a group of writers to crate a new piece of work over the weekend.
Members of the public will also be able to get involved and shape the 48 hour book by 'tweeting' their suggestions direct to the writers or posting on the ideas board at the Central Library.
Over the weekend there will be opportunities to chat to the writers and contribute your ideas to the book. People should ask library staff how you can get involved.
Chat to the writers runs from 3.30-4.15pm and 5.45-6.30pm tomorrow at Northamptonshire Central Library.
