Speed cameras will be turned off at the weekend

Speed cameras across the county will be switched off on Saturday (March 26).
The 40 cameras in operation across Northamptonshire will be turned off by police five days earlier than the original switch-off date of March 31, as they would have needed altering due to the clocks going forward on Sunday.
Northamptonshire Casualty Reduction Partnership will still close on the 31st. It's closure follows the withdrawal of £1million worth of funding from Northamptonshire County Council.
Police will still have four mobile camera vans in operation across the county.
The yellow boxes used to house speed cameras will not be removed in the near future, although there are plans to decommission them eventually.
