The Climate East Midlands seminar will take place on Friday, March 25 and aims to discuss how £1m worth of investment can best be spent across the region.
The Harksome Hill venue will be just one of five centres across the East Midlands to host similar events as part of Climate Week, which runs from March 21-27.

The other sessions will take place in Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Lincoln.
Climate East Midlands, one of a national network of climate change partnerships across the country, has recently received £1m from the Department of Communities and Local Government as part of its new Skills Programme.
The money is earmarked for projects aimed at delivering carbon savings, installing more renewable energy and building resilience to a changing climate.
The whole project is built around the 'it's a changing climate for climate change' theme and the Northamptonshire event will concentrate on the Schools Carbon Trading project, which is being developed and pioneered by Northamptonshire County Council.
The event will include talks from Anne Gayfer at the East Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, Helen Ross at the Department of Health East Midlands who will talk about carbon reduction in the NHS and Climate East Midlands' Mike Peverill.
Attendance is free and people can book by visiting www.bookwhen.com/cem-events
