An appeal to allow the construction of 25 houses on land off Stockwell Way in Milton Malsor has been dismissed. The Government's Planning Inspectorate looked into the development, which had already been dismissed by South Northants District Council, following a complaint from 'The Trustees of H C Sargeant Deceased'.
The appeal was lodged under section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, but following a site visit by inspector Laura Graham in November last year the district council's decision was upheld. The inspection concluded that the planning application should be refused as the development site is outside of Milton Malsor in open countryside and contravenes planning policy for the area.
The final decision was made on February 21.
