The campaign follows a successful scheme which ran last term.
Each week a different school will be visited twice a day at pick up and drop off times by officers from Northamptonshire Police, supported by Civil Enforcement Officers from Northamptonshire County Council, to give advice to parents about the importance of parking in a safe and considerate way. Inspector Steve Lingley said: "Dangerous parking around schools is of concern to both parents and residents. We are delighted to be able to work with our colleagues at the county council to keep children safe as they travel to school.”
This campaign is in addition to the ongoing work that Safer Community Teams undertake in schools to address any issues of concern to parents, staff and pupils.
