Concert to remember road crash victim raises £3,000

A charity concert held to remember a teenager who was killed in a car crash in 2008 has helped raise £3,000 for African aid projects.
Former Roade School art student Rebecca Taylor, from Tanglewood, Collingtree died in an accident on the road between Blisworth and Milton Malsor in September 2008, according to a report in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
The Chron reveals how her friends have since raised more than £17,000 for Action Aid through the annual concert in memory of the 18-year-old. This year 15 bands played at Northampton's Roadmender on Sunday, January 2.
A further event is planned for June to coincide with what would have been Rebecca's 21st birthday.
