School's efforts help feed poorest kids in India

Money raised by a Hunsbury school means impoverished children in India are able to eat and have a tumbler of milk three times a week.
The fundraising efforts of pupils at Hunsbury Park School during 2010 paid for lunches for youngsters at the Batlagundu Creche.
The scheme, carried out through charity Children United!, has helped the creche to look after 60 two and three-year-old children from very poor families.
In all the Hunsbury Park pupils raised £310.75. Meals, including milk, cost just 3p a day for each child.
Children United! paid for the crèche building to be redecorated and for new toys, and has since been paying an annual donation towards the cost of the childrens mid-day meal and milk.
The children are safe and well cared for, have access to medical care if they need it, given a healthy mid-day meal and snacks and start their education - by playing and singing songs, including learning English and so dont have any problems when starting school, just 200m away.
A spokesman for the charity said: "The school raised £310.75 and with meals - including milk - at 3p per day per child - that's a lot of dinners.
"Every penny we are given goes to the children - there are no overheads or expenses either here in the UK or in India."
