Fifteen children in need of foster care

More than 15 children in the county are currently waiting for a permanent foster home.
Northamptonshire County Council is appealing for anyone who may be interested in taking on one of the children to approach it's fostering team.
A council spokesman said: "There are currently more than 15 children waiting for permanent homes.
"Some of these are siblings and would wish to be placed together. These children and young people need loving and caring homes in which to grow.
"Permenent fostering is needed for children and young people who for various reasons can't live with their birth family, but it allows children to maintain their own identity and for some children maintain contact with their extended family.
"It provides a positive outcome for children and young people until adulthood and beyond."
Anyone interested in learning more should call the fostering team on 0300 126 1009 or attend it's next opening evening at Britannia House, Bedford Road in Northampton from 7-9pm on November 3.
