Collision closed M1 for six hours

The M1 was closed for six hours yesterday morning (Monday, September 27) following a collision between a lorry and a car transporter.
The incident took place at 9am and saw the motorway shut between junction 15a and 16.
The road was eventually re-opened at around 3.15pm.
Arterial roads close to junction 15a suffered from congestion as a result with jams spreading into Northampton town centre.
